Job summary

Camco Manufacturing is building an upstream product management function within Engineering & Product Development. The Product Manager owns the intelligence, definition, and commercial positioning work that must precede engineering engagement — translating market opportunity, consumer insight, and business strategy into clear, actionable product briefs that enable the engineering team to execute with precision and speed.

This is a builder role in a function newly defined at Camco.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of product management experience in physical consumer products; RV, automotive, marine, or adjacent aftermarket industries strongly preferred
• Demonstrated upstream product definition work before engineering engagement
• Proven track record of bringing physical products from concept through commercial launch
• Experience setting cost targets and pricing strategy with engineering and commercial teams
• Strong analytical skills: market sizing, financial modeling, sell-through analysis, and consumer data
• Excellent written and verbal communication — translate market intelligence for engineering audience
• Demonstrated experience managing product lines – PLM, gap analysis, competitive opportunities
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Marketing, or related field preferred

Responsibilities

• Define the product thesis for each project: target customers, problem solved, and commercial objectives
• Complete competitive landscape analysis and feature benchmarking prior to engineering engagement
• Validate consumer demand through VOC, reviews, dealer and consumer engagement, and category trends
• Develop cost and pricing models establishing commercial viability
• Produce clear product briefs guiding design with minimal ambiguity
• Own pipeline across 12–24 month horizons and track stage-gate progression
• Bridge market intelligence and engineering execution; ensure go-to-market alignment
