Job summary

Encoded Therapeutics in North Carolina is seeking an Engineer, Process Sciences – Upstream to join our Internal Manufacturing group. You will design, execute, and analyze small-scale studies to support our AAV-based pipeline.

You will participate in upstream manufacturing for pre-clinical and clinical programs, assist with technology transfer to GMP facilities, and collaborate across teams to meet project timelines and quality standards.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in a relevant field such as biochemical/chemical engineering, biology or biochemistry.
• At least 3 years of industry experience or equivalent educational experience.
• Experience in MSAT/PD/Process Sciences is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design, execute, and analyze small-scale studies supporting upstream development.
• Fabricate and support pre-clinical and clinical manufacturing for AAV projects.
• Facilitate technology transfer of manufacturing processes to GMP and non-GMP sites.
• Provide on-site support for GMP manufacturing at internal and external sites.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support tech transfer and timelines.
