Job summary

Baker Hughes is seeking an Upstream Chemical Field Engineer to join our field teams. The role focuses on deploying tools and services, collaborating with crew members and customers, and delivering reliable support from site to shore operations.

You will engage in data analysis, cost estimates for tenders, and invoicing activities while developing a broad understanding of our business through job shadowing opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering (all fields), Engineering Technology, Mathematics, Chemistry, Geosciences, or similar, within the last 36 months.
• Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale (or equivalent).
• Fluent in written and spoken English, with excellent communication skills.
• Applicant must be legally authorized to work in the United States as a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or temporary resident, and will not need employment sponsorship now or in the future.
• Good interpersonal skills, with an aptitude for teamwork and the ability to guide others.
• Demonstrate leadership, critical thinking, and numerical skills as well as data analysis and project management abilities.

Responsibilities

• Coordinating with crew members to deploy tools and services, including liaison with customers and shore-based Operations Managers.
• Participating in finding solutions to complex technical problems through hands-on work at the work site
• Preparing, documenting, and receiving outbound and inbound equipment and products, including products to and from the work site
• Providing support for tenders, including data analysis and cost estimates, as well as performing invoicing activities
• Engaging in job shadowing opportunities to develop a holistic understanding of the business
