Job summary

Catalent is seeking an Associate - Biomanufacturing, Upstream at its Madison, WI site to perform upstream cell culture activities in a Grade A cleanroom and support continuous improvement initiatives. You will follow Batch Production Records and SOPs to ensure right-first-time manufacturing of biologic therapies, document activities per GDP, and coach junior team members.

With shift options and a onsite role, you will interact with clients during observations and participate in daily huddles,

Qualifications

• Must have scientific/biomanufacturing background and ability to work in cleanroom environment.
• Strong documentation and adherence to GMP/GDP practices.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-based manufacturing setting.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic troubleshooting and upstream cell culture activities, including aseptic manipulation in Grade A environment and large-scale culture in single‑use bioreactors.
• Follow Batch Production Records and SOPs in accordance with current Good Manufacturing Practices, focusing on right‑first‑time execution.
• Document all activities in compliance with Good Documentation Practices in Batch Production Records and other quality documentation.
• Recognize deviations and raise awareness through Rapid Response; identify safety, quality, and efficiency improvements.
• Coach junior team members and potentially onboard new hires; may become a Certified Trainer.

Education

High School Diploma or equivalent

Bachelor’s or Associate Degree in science/biomanufacturing

Master’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics
