Job summary

AECOM seeks a seasoned Client Account Manager for Upstate New York to anchor the water and wastewater practice in Buffalo or Rochester, leading strategic account planning and driving growth across urban utilities.

You will mentor teams, manage resources, and ensure delivery excellence while collaborating with technical leaders on projects, digital delivery, and portfolio management, with a strong in-office presence in Upstate NY.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in Civil, Environmental, Chemical Engineering or related field is required.
• 10+ years in municipal water/wastewater consulting with proven leadership of urban utility accounts.
• Familiarity with NY public procurement, SRF/WIIA, and grant/loan programs.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategic account planning for priority utilities, including relationship mapping and growth roadmaps.
• Mentor, coach, and develop teams; manage resources, staffing, and delivery standards.
• Deliver planning, design, and program services for wastewater/water treatment and conveyance.
• Build pipeline, forecast pursuits, and maintain CRM rigor aligned to regional targets.
