Job summary

Red Door Woodfired Grill is seeking a server to be the welcoming face of the guest experience. You will present the menu with enthusiasm, take orders, and coordinate with kitchen and bar teams to ensure timely, accurate service.

The role emphasizes hospitality, teamwork, and a positive attitude, with opportunities for growth in the restaurant’s training pathways and leadership in training positions for top performers.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Able to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Able to stand, walk, and move for extended periods.
• Able to carry trays, plates, and beverages safely.
• Prior serving experience preferred; however, a sincere commitment to hospitality and learning is essential.
• Must maintain current alcohol service certification per state or local requirements.

Responsibilities

• Deliver an exceptional guest experience with every interaction—warmly welcoming, anticipating needs, and ensuring guests feel valued throughout their visit.
• Present the menu with enthusiasm and knowledge, highlighting chef features, drink specials, and any current promotions.
• Take accurate food and beverage orders, ensuring clarity and attention to special requests, allergies, or modifications.
• Possess thorough menu knowledge, including ingredients, preparation methods, and recommended pairings.
• Effectively communicate with culinary and bar teams to ensure precision and timing of service.
• Manage the pacing of each table to balance comfort, flow, and volume demands.
• Ensure proper setup, cleanliness, and organization of tables and sections before, during, and after service.
• Handle all payment transactions accurately and responsibly, including cash handling, credit card processing, and gift card transactions.
• Support fellow team members by pre-bussing, running food, and assisting as needed to maintain Red Door’s high service standards.
