Job summary

The Hyatt Regency Atlanta is seeking a Restaurant Server to help ensure guest satisfaction through attentive service and dining room cleanliness. You will greet guests, take orders, and maintain knowledge of menu items to provide accurate information and recommendations.

You will also be responsible for setting up and cleaning your station, inputting orders correctly, and using suggestive selling to reach higher guest check averages, all while adhering to service standards.

Qualifications

• Customer service orientation required.
• Excellent communication and guest interaction skills.
• Ability to upsell and promote specials.
• Knowledge of menu items, garnishes, contents and preparation methods.

Responsibilities

• Ensure guest satisfaction through dining room cleanliness and attentive service.
• Set up and clean assigned station before/after shifts per policies.
• Take orders accurately and input into kitchen management system.
• Ensure accuracy of guest checks and timely delivery of orders.
• Greet guests promptly and respond to questions with confidence.
• Utilize suggestive selling techniques to increase check averages.
• Be knowledgeable about daily specials, soups, drinks, wines and 86 items.
• Notify management of supplies needed to run service smoothly.
