Job summary

Valencia Hotel Group is seeking a part-time front-of-house team member to deliver friendly, upscale dining service in Arlington, TX. You will greet guests, take orders, upsell beverages, and coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth service.

Responsibilities include maintaining knowledge of menu items, prices, and liquor regulations, while upholding all standards. Evening shifts are required, with opportunities to participate in ongoing training and team meetings.

Qualifications

• Hotel Operations or Customer Service experience preferred.
• Communicates effectively with others.
• Works productively with a team.
• Effective multitasking skills.
• Composure and patience under pressure.
• High school or equivalent education required.
• Knowledge of P.O.S. systems. Preferably ALOHA.
• Previous Experience in an upscale/fine dining restaurant preferred.
• Knowledge of Wine Selections preferred.
• Valid TABC Certification.
• Valid Food Handler's Certificate.

Responsibilities

• Contribute positively to the team within the department.
• Prepare for any and all guest requests.
• Participate in on-going training.
• Comply with Valencia Hotel Group standards and regulations.
• Maintain regular attendance as required by scheduling.
• Complete other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
• Know table/seat/station numbers, room capacity, hours of operation, and dress code.
• Understand liquor regulations and avoid service to minors or intoxicated persons.
• Greet guests and upsell beverages.
• Take guests’ orders and input into system for kitchen transmission.
• Coordinate with kitchen team on service and timing.
• Monitor guest needs and respond promptly.
• Maintain guest relations and knowledge of hotel services.
• Handle guest complaints and ensure satisfaction.
• Process checks and adhere to payment policies.
