Job summary

BOA Steakhouse Austin in search of a Host to join our team. The role focuses on warm greetings, seating guests, answering calls, and helping create a memorable dining experience in a high-end, fast-paced setting.

We seek candidates with 2 years of experience in upscale restaurants, strong communication, flexible availability, and the ability to multi-task under pressure. A valid Food Handler Card and Alcohol Awareness Training are required upon hire. 18+.

Qualifications

• 2 years of experience in a high-end, high-volume restaurant.
• Ability to multi-task and work efficiently under pressure.
• Strong communication skills with guests and teammates.
• Flexible availability including days, nights and weekends.
• Valid Food Handler Card and Alcohol Awareness Training certificate (upon hire).
• Able to stand for long periods and lift up to 25 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Warmly greet guests and explain the restaurant concept.
• Seat parties based on guest preferences and manage flow.
• Present menus and introduce servers' names at seating.
• Record names and party sizes when seating is limited.
• Provide estimated wait times and maintain courtesy under pressure.
• Accommodate special seating requests when possible.
• Keep the host stand clean and organized.
• Ensure table presentation is complete and pristine.
• Fill in as needed to support smooth restaurant operations.
• Create a welcoming environment and thank guests on departure.
• Demonstrate exceptional hospitality and service mindset.
