Job summary

Sheraton San Diego Resort is seeking an experienced Bartender to craft and serve beverages in a fast-paced luxury setting by the waterfront. You will support servers, prepare cocktails, take orders, and help ensure a memorable guest experience in line with hotel standards.

Candidates should have at least 1 year of hotel or banquet experience, a High School Diploma, strong mixology skills, and the ability to work flexible shifts including nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year experience in hotels, banquets, or events.
• High School Diploma or equivalent education required.
• Knowledgeable of beverages, recipes and correct glassware.
• Must be able to obtain TIPS and Food Safety certification.

Responsibilities

• Prepare alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages for bar and restaurants, in accordance with service standards.
• Anticipate Guests’ needs, respond promptly and acknowledge all Guests, making recommendations from guests’ preferences.
• Take Guests’ food and beverage orders, utilizing suggestive selling techniques.
• Complete opening duties as assigned, including check quality and quantity of all bar stock and supplies using checklist.
