Epping Forest Yacht Club in Jacksonville, FL is seeking a skilled cook to join our premiere kitchen team. You will prepare items cooked to order and plate them according to our presentation standards.

We value experience in upscale environments, strong knowledge of sanitation, and the ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Two+ years cooking experience in upscale, luxury hotel or freestanding restaurant.
• Formal culinary training/certification as Cook from a recognized culinary school.
• Knowledge of Food Service Sanitation Standards and kitchen equipment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare food cooked to order according to approved standard recipes.
• Plate food for service according to established plating/presentation criteria.
• Ensure all served food is high quality and timely.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety in the kitchen at all times.
• Monitor temperatures and proper storage of ingredients.
• Follow standardized recipes and portion control guidelines.
• Attend required trainings and safety courses; participate in meetings.
• Report equipment malfunctions or safety hazards immediately.
