Job summary

The Galt House Hotel is hiring a Food Runner for Swizzle, a restaurant perched 25 stories above River Road in Louisville. The role supports servers, prepares stations, and maintains clean guest tables while upholding food safety guidelines.

Candidates must be 21+ to serve alcohol, possess strong communication skills, and be able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays. The position is full-time with benefits as described in the offer.

Qualifications

• High school education or Equivalent.
• Must be of legal age to serve alcohol.
• Self-motivated and customer service oriented.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Clean and professional appearance.
• Adept in following food safety practices.
• Detail oriented.
• Ability to work on your feet for at least 8 hours at a time and lift at least 60 lbs.
• Team oriented.
• Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Assists the server to consistently deliver a quality experience for guests
• Prepare food stations and maintaining organized and clean guest tables
• Ensure that food safety guidelines are adhered to at all times
• Serving food and drink to guests at the direction of the server
• Clean, clear, and reset tables in preparation for arriving guests
• Acting as a connection between front-of-house and back-of-house when necessary
• Handling guest concerns and complaints, notifying server and manager when necessary
• Other duties as assigned
