The Grill on the Alley in San Jose, CA seeks an experienced Grill Cook to deliver premium steaks with precision in a fast-paced, upscale setting. You will uphold rigorous culinary standards and ensure flawless execution of dishes.

You will manage grill temperatures, timing, seasoning, and coordination with adjacent stations, while maintaining mise en place, cleanliness, and food safety. Evening and weekend availability required; pay is $20.00–$28.00 per hour, based on experience.

Formación

• Extensive experience with premium steaks (USDA Prime, Wagyu, dry-aged).
• Knowledge of beef cuts, marbling, aging, temperatures.
• Ability to cook to precise guest temperatures.
• Experience with seafood and other grilled proteins.
• Attention to detail, organization, and presentation.
• Evening and weekend availability.

Responsabilidades

• Prepare premium steaks to established standards.
• Monitor grill temperatures and cooking times.
• Coordinate service timing with Sauté, Line, Pantry, and Expo stations.
• Maintain mise en place and station cleanliness.
• Inspect ingredients for freshness and storage.
• Minimize waste through portion control.
• Communicate with Chef de Cuisine and culinary team.
• Maintain composure during high-volume service.
