Job summary

Terra Mae Restaurant in Portland, OR is seeking enthusiastic servers for a part-time position, delivering an exceptional dining experience in a Portuguese-Japanese fusion concept.

You will greet guests, present menus, take orders, upsell, and work with kitchen staff to ensure smooth service. Minimum of 5+ years serving; two shifts per week; 18+ and able to obtain food/beverage certifications.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5+ years of serving in a restaurant or hospitality setting, preferably upscale.
• Minimum of 2 shifts per week.
• Passion for food, beverage, and cultural fusion.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Strong multitasking abilities and a positive attitude.
• Must be at least 18 years old and able to obtain any necessary food and beverage service certifications.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome guests with warmth and professionalism.
• Develop a deep understanding of the menu and the stories behind dishes to guide selections.
• Accurately take and input food and beverage orders.
• Serve food and beverages with a focus on presentation and quality.

• Proactively recommend menu items and beverages to enhance the guest experience and increase sales.
