Job summary

Hyatt Centric Downtown Sacramento is seeking a Food Runner to support servers and ensure guests have a seamless dining experience. You will deliver food and beverages, maintain station organization, and assist with setup and breakdown in a fast-paced independent restaurant.

Applicants should have a high school diploma and be able to lift up to 50 lbs; prior upscale restaurant or hotel experience is preferred. We offer competitive benefits after the waiting period.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; minimum one year experience in upscale restaurant, hotel/resort, or private club preferred.
• Certification in liquor, wine, and food service (including Alcohol Awareness) preferred.
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions and maintain a professional appearance.
• Strong multitasking and communication skills; must meet minimum age requirements and comply with responsible alcohol service standards.
• Physical ability to lift/carry up to 50 lbs and stand, walk, and perform other movements for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests by name, observe and respond to requests, and ensure service is complete.
• Assist servers with presenting menus, answering questions, and making suggestions about food and beverage service.
• Prepare baskets with condiments and sides, confirm orders are accurate and presentable, and serve to guests with a smile.
• Monitor supplies, maintain stock, and keep kitchen/café areas clean and orderly; assist servers in keeping service areas tidy.
• Stay informed about the menu, drinks, specials, and unavailable items.
• Complete daily/weekly checklists and perform other duties as assigned.
