Job summary

Benihana in the United States is seeking an experienced bartender to craft cocktails and deliver a premium bar experience in a high-energy, upscale environment. You will anticipate guest needs, execute flawless drinks, and contribute to a vibrant atmosphere.

Responsibilities include preparing diverse beverages, maintaining bar stock, using the POS system, handling cash, and supporting front-of-house while upholding health and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Prior bartending in a high-volume, upscale venue preferred.
• Strong knowledge of cocktails, wines, and craft beer.
• Able to multitask and stay organized under pressure.
• Excellent guest engagement and communication skills.
• Able to stand for long periods and lift trays as needed.
• Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Follow alcohol service guidelines and represent Benihana professionally.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve signature cocktails and non-alcoholic beverages.
• Maintain expert knowledge of spirits, wines, beers, and recipes.
• Engage with guests and provide menu recommendations.
• Process drink orders accurately into the POS system.
• Maintain cash handling procedures and card transactions.
• Set up, stock, and keep the bar clean before/during/after shifts.
• Garnish drinks and present beverages attractively.
• Assist with food orders for bar guests and ensure timely delivery.
• Comply with health and safety regulations and sanitation standards.
• Report maintenance or equipment issues to management.
• Perform blind cash drops in the safe at shift end.
• Support front-of-house with food running, bussing, hosting as needed.
