Benihana - Puente Hills in California is seeking an experienced bartender to craft cocktails, engage guests, and deliver a premium bar experience in a high-volume, upscale setting.

You will develop knowledge of spirits, wines, and beers, maintain a clean bar, take orders, handle payments, and support front-of-house duties as needed. Availability nights, weekends, and holidays is required.

Qualifications

• Previous bartending experience in a high-volume, upscale bar or restaurant preferred.
• Strong knowledge of mixology, cocktails, wines, and craft beer.
• Ability to multitask, stay organized, and work efficiently under pressure.
• Excellent guest engagement and communication skills.
• Must follow all alcohol service guidelines and represent Benihana professionally.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve signature cocktails, classic drinks, and non-alcoholic beverages.
• Maintain expert knowledge of spirits, wines, beers, and cocktail recipes.
• Engage with guests, provide menu recommendations and an interactive experience.
• Process drink orders accurately into the POS system.
• Maintain cash handling procedures and process card transactions.
• Set up, stock, and maintain a clean bar before, during, and after shifts.
• Garnish drinks, replenish snacks, and present beverages attractively.
• Assist with food orders for bar guests and ensure timely delivery.
• Comply with health and safety regulations and sanitation standards.
• Report maintenance or equipment issues to management.
• Perform blind cash drops at shift end.
• Support front-of-house with food running, bussing, and hosting help.
