Job summary

Kona Grill - Columbus is seeking an experienced Bartender to craft cocktails, engage guests, and deliver a premium bar experience in a high-energy setting. You will anticipate guest needs, execute flawless drinks, and contribute to a welcoming atmosphere.

Responsibilities include preparing drinks, maintaining bar knowledge, processing orders through the POS, and supporting the front-of-house team. Availability for nights, weekends, and holidays is required.

Qualifications

• Experience in a high-volume, upscale bar or restaurant.
• Strong knowledge of cocktails, wines, and craft beers.
• Ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure.
• Excellent guest engagement and communication skills.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift trays or bar equipment.
• Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Follow all alcohol service guidelines and represent the venue professionally.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve signature cocktails, classic drinks, and non-alcoholic beverages to high standards.
• Maintain expert knowledge of spirits, wines, beers, and cocktail recipes.
• Engage with guests, providing menu recommendations and an interactive experience.
• Process drink orders accurately into the POS system.
• Handle cash transactions and card payments.
• Set up and stock the bar; keep it clean before, during, and after shifts.
• Garnish drinks and present beverages attractively.
• Assist with food orders for bar guests and ensure timely delivery.
• Comply with health and safety regulations and sanitation standards.
• Report maintenance or equipment issues.
• Perform blind cash drops at end of shift.
• Support front-of-house with food running, bussing, and hosting help.
