Job summary

Hudson House in Houston is seeking skilled bartenders to deliver warm, polished hospitality while crafting exceptional beverages at a high-volume, full-service bar.

You will master the full beverage program, guide guests with wine, beer, cocktails, and seasonal features, and collaborate with servers to create memorable experiences. This role emphasizes service excellence, safety, and ongoing training.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Positive attitude with ownership of the role.
• Detail-oriented with strong communication skills.
• Team-oriented with punctuality and reliability.
• Experience in a full-service upscale high-volume establishment preferred.
• Must complete quizzes on product knowledge.
• Desire to create memorable hospitality moments for guests.
• Willingness to learn and grow within the restaurant.
• Knowledge and passion for wine, beer and craft cocktails.
• Understanding of classic wine service and service ware.
• TABC Certification, as required.
• Certified for food and alcohol service as required by State/Local Agencies.

Responsibilities

• Provide warm, attentive service at the bar and in support of the dining room.
• Craft cocktails and prepare beverages with precision and consistency.
• Maintain knowledge of the full beverage program including wine, spirits, beers, and seasonal features.
• Engage guests with guidance and recommendations to elevate their experience.
• Anticipate guest needs and respond promptly for seamless service.
• Uphold service steps, pacing, presentation, and order accuracy.
• Open and close bar shifts with cleanliness and readiness for service.
• Maintain bar inventory and restock supplies as needed.
• Collaborate with servers and hosts to support smooth operations.
• Adhere to responsible alcohol service guidelines and guest safety.
• Address guest concerns with warmth and a solution-focused approach.
• Participate in ongoing training to deepen beverage knowledge and skills.
