Marcel, located in New York, NY, seeks an experienced Bar Back for full-time hours in a high-end dining environment. You will support the bar team, manage supplies, and maintain cleanliness throughout service.

Experience in upscale dining is required; you will work with top-tier tools and ingredients in a dynamic kitchen, contributing to exceptional guest experiences and a cohesive service flow.

Qualifications

• Extensive knowledge of diverse culinary styles and mastery across line-level cooking stations.
• Experience in upscale, high-volume fine dining required.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Enforce compliance with kitchen standards and sanitation.
• Maintain knowledge of recipes, ingredients, allergens, and proper food presentation.
• Retrieves all needed food items from kitchen and delivers to bar area.
• Retrieves beverage items and garnishes from storerooms and delivers to bar area.
• Sets up bottles on bar with top-shelf liquor on back shelf.
• Ensures beer taps are working properly.
• Keeps supplies, such as snacks and napkins, stocked throughout shift.
• Assists in opening and closing side work as assigned.
• Buses tables in bar area.
• Prepares and serves beverages as needed to assist bartender.
