Establish a trusted, veteran-aligned technical presence in the Seattle Metro to support Scalor’s expansion into a new market. This isn’t just a field role — it's an opportunity to become the face of a mission-first company that’s redefining UPS service by investing in people, not just products. You’ll carry forward the culture that the team built in Portland: one of trust, service, and continuous learning.

You will operate out of Seattle, WA. This will be your region of responsibility. You will travel to Portland often in the first six months for training and OJT. As the company brings on more Seattle-based clients, your time in Seattle proper will expand.

Your direct supervisor is a former Navy ET, who is featured in the video above.

Performance Objectives
  1. Earn Multi-Brand Certifications (0–6 Months): Travel nationally for formal UPS training at facilities in Texas, Wisconsin, and California to become a certified, brand-agnostic field technician.
  2. Complete OJT in Portland (0–6 Months): Join senior techs in the Portland metro area to build confidence and hands-on experience with legacy and modern UPS systems under contract.
  3. Deliver Field Service Excellence (Ongoing): Conduct preventative maintenance, diagnostics, and emergency repair services across client sites in the Seattle area — from first-call fixes to battery replacements (requires lifting up to 100lbs in teams of two).
  4. Build Local Client Trust (3–12 Months): Own the customer experience. Develop trusted relationships as the “Scalor Tech” in Seattle, known for responsiveness, knowledge, and mission ownership.
  5. Document Field Work with Precision (Ongoing): Complete detailed service reports including labor time, equipment performance, and parts usage — maintaining top-tier standards in clarity, safety, and compliance.
  6. Contribute to a High-Trust, Growth-Minded Culture: Embody the servant leadership mindset. Lean into learning, offer help where needed, and represent a team that believes in investing in people first.
Requirements
  • Must have served in the U.S. Army, U.S. Navy, U.S. Marine Corps, U.S. Air Force, U.S. Coast Guard, U.S. Space Force, U.S. Reserves, or U.S. National Guard.
  • Basic understanding of electrical theory (voltage, current, safety protocols)
  • Strong communication and time management skills
  • Ability to lift up to 100lbs (team lift standard); repeated lifting during battery replacements
  • Willingness to travel extensively (50%+ during training phase), primarily to Portland for OJT.
  • Valid driver’s license and clean record
  • Familiarity with electrical schematics and manuals — but knows how to think beyond them
Benefits
  • Annual profit-sharing bonuses based on company performance
  • Full healthcare coverage!
  • Flexible PTO – family-first culture
  • Field autonomy — trusted to manage your time and service territory
  • Ownership culture: company invests in you, not just your outputs
