Job summary

Nationwide Power Solutions Inc. is seeking UPS critical power field service professionals to join our Atlanta, GA area team. You will service UPS systems, PDUs, bypass cabinets and battery systems while delivering top-grade customer support.

We value a great attitude and team focus; candidates should have at least 4 years of field service experience and an Associate degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering Technology. Travel to client sites and on-call availability are expected.

Qualifications

  • Associate's degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering Technology or related field.
  • At least 4 years of field service experience with critical power equipment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and ability to work independently.
  • Proficiency with MS Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Willingness to travel to data centers, hospitals, and industrial facilities.

Responsibilities

  • Schedule and perform preventative maintenance on UPS, PDUs, bypass cabinets and battery systems.
  • Respond to emergency service calls 24/7 and troubleshoot to root causes.
  • Document work accurately and communicate equipment operation to customers.
  • Train less experienced team members and assist with equipment commissioning.

Our goal is to make sure our customers are always powered up and ready to go!Position Summary: Provide quality customer service maintaining and servicing customer critical power equipment, such as Uninterruptible Power Supplies (UPS’), Power Distribution Units (PDUs), Bypass Cabinets and Battery systems.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesIndependently schedule and conduct preventative maintenance services.Respond to emergency calls 24/7 when necessary.Troubleshoot critical power systems to identify root causes and carry out repairs efficiently to minimize downtime.Adhere to job requirements and strive for accuracy in all tasks.Focus on preventative maintenance as a Critical Power Professional.Aim to achieve Zero Defects (ZD) and eliminate costly errors.Ensure customer satisfaction through effective communication and education on equipment operation.Maintain and secure company tools and equipment.Keep personal vehicle in safe condition and maintain current insurance and licenses.Support sales opportunities by recommending critical power equipment and related products.Submit all necessary paperwork accurately and in a timely manner.Provide guidance and training to less experienced team members.Attend product-specific training sessions and assist with equipment commissioning.Handle battery installation, removal, and disposal procedures.Required Qualifications:Minimum of an Associate's degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering technology or a related fieldAt least 4 years of experience in servicing, troubleshooting, installing, and maintaining critical power or similar equipmentWillingness to learn technical skills through various training methodsStrong written and verbal communication skillsMechanical aptitudeAbility to effectively communicate with internal and external customersSelf-motivated and able to independently manage workloadProficiency in MS Outlook, Word, and ExcelAdditional / Preferred Qualifications:Completion of factory training or equivalent in the repair and maintenance of multiple leading UPS brands is preferred.Previous experience in critical power field service.Proficiency in the use of electrical/electronic test equipment and understanding of fundamentals.Capability to read and interpret electrical line diagrams and schematics.Understanding of OHM's law and electronic theory.Skill in evaluating the operating conditions of equipment.Physical DemandsWhile performing duties of the above jobs, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, use hands and fingers, handle or feel objects, tools, or other components; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk, hear and smell. The employee frequently is required to sit and climb or balance. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distant vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Must have the ability to regularly lift at least 50 pounds.
