Job summary

The Methuen Public Schools is seeking a Pathways Sub Separate Teacher for the Upper School to work with students identified as having special needs; develop, coordinate and implement individualized education plans; provide diagnostic testing and required reports; participate in staff meetings and trainings; conduct conferences with parents; and support regular school functions under the Building Principal.

Required: Massachusetts teaching license in Moderate Disabilities PK-8 with SEI

Qualifications

• Valid Massachusetts teaching license in Moderate Disabilities PK-8 with SEI Endorsement.
• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s preferred.
• Bilingual abilities valued in a diverse community.

Responsibilities

• Plans a program of study that meets individual student needs.
• Creates a safe, conducive learning environment.
• Guides learning toward curriculum goals and objectives.
• Develops and implements individualized education plans (IEPs).
• Provides diagnostic testing and submits required reports.
• Participates in staff meetings, trainings, and conferences.
• Supports regular school functions under the principal.
