Friends’ Central School seeks a dedicated and enthusiastic Upper School Math Teacher for a full-time position beginning July 1, 2025. The successful candidate will teach a range of math courses and be involved in co-curricular activities, fostering a supportive and inclusive learning environment for high school students.
Friends’ Central School Overview
Friends’ Central School is an independent, coeducational Quaker day school founded in 1845 and serving approximately 876 students in Nursery through grade 12. Located in the Philadelphia suburbs, the School has two campuses. The Middle & Upper Schools are located just outside of West Philadelphia in Wynnewood, and the Lower School is on our Old Gulph Road campus in the heart of Wynnewood.

Upper School Math Teacher
The Friends’ Central Upper School (grades 9-12) seeks a dedicated, enthusiastic Math teacher for a full-time position beginning on July 1, 2025. The teacher is responsible for teaching four courses and being involved in co-curricular work The teacher will also act as an advisor to a small group of students.
Qualified candidates will have experience teaching a range of math courses, and a demonstrated commitment to working with Upper School students and will report to the Upper School Principal.

Physical Demands
Physical demands include dexterity for office machines and supply operation including but not limited to writing, using electronic devices, computer, phone, calculator, copy machine, fax machine, and printers. Stooping, bending, reaching and sitting or standing for extended periods of time are common.
