Job summary

Brookwood School seeks an experienced Upper School Math Learning Specialist to support students in grades 5–8 with dyscalculia and other learning differences. The role involves 1:1, small-group, and push-in instruction, with load determined by availability.

The candidate should have a Master’s in Education focused on math or Special Education, a Bachelor's degree, and at least three years of math teaching experience for students with learning differences.

Qualifications

• Three years of experience teaching math to students with learning differences.
• Experience with dyscalculia and related learning differences is preferred.
• Experience using hands-on materials and visual representations to support math concepts.
• Commitment to inclusive learning environments.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1, small group, or push-in support for students needing math support.
• Create individualized curriculum for pull-out math classes as needed.
• Collaborate with teachers, Director of Learning Skills, and division heads to design support plans.
• Administer and interpret assessments to tailor instruction and track progress.
• Communicate progress to families and attend parent conferences.
