Job summary

Great Hearts is seeking a lead teacher to deliver lessons using the Great Hearts curriculum in Arlington, Texas. You will prepare thoughtful lessons, maintain an orderly, joyful classroom, and monitor student progress.

You will collaborate with school leadership to address academic or behavioral needs, communicate with families, and participate in faculty events and ongoing professional growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or higher degree is required for a lead teaching role.
• Certification is not required for general education.
• All majors are welcome.
• US Work Authorization is required.
• Employment is contingent upon criminal history background check and fingerprint clearance.

Responsibilities

• Teach assigned classes using the Great Hearts curriculum and materials, preparing thoughtful lessons and cultivating an orderly, joyful classroom.
• Provide appropriate academic support to students and monitor progress.
• Partner with school leadership to address academic or behavioral needs in a timely manner.
• Uphold and model Great Hearts culture, policies, and expectations, including dress code, conduct, and safety procedures.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with families, initiating conferences as needed and fostering strong home-school partnerships.
• Participate in faculty collaboration, school events, assigned duties, and ongoing professional growth.
