Position Title: 8th and 9th Grade English and History Teacher

Location: Great Hearts Lakeside Upper School - 7655 Harris Parkway Fort Worth, TX 76123

Reports to: Headmaster

FLSA Status: Salaried Exempt

Salary: Starting at $40,000

Start Date: January 4, 2027

Humane Letters courses

• Humane Letters I (focused on American studies with a strong history component - 9th grade)
• Humane Letters II (focused on European studies with a strong history component - 10th grade)
• Humane Letters III (focused on Ancient Greek/Roman studies with a strong philosophy component - 11th grade)
• Humane Letters IV (a capstone course surveying the Western tradition with a strong philosophy component - 12th grade)

Requirements for teaching: Bachelor's or higher degree is required for a lead teaching role Certification is not required for general education US work authorization is required. Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a criminal history background check and fingerprint clearance in accordance with state requirements. Travel required: May need to travel locally for training and professional development opportunities.
