Job summary

Emerald Academy in Knoxville is seeking an innovative Lead Teacher to help grow scholars into leaders. You will design rigorous lessons, manage the classroom, and focus on student engagement to maximize achievement.

Responsibilities include using data to inform instruction, collaborating with the Emerald Academy team, and leveraging technology to monitor progress. Must hold a Tennessee teaching license and be committed to high expectations and student success.

Qualifications

• Must hold a Tennessee Teacher License.
• Active TDOE Teaching License or transfer in process if current out-of-state license.

Responsibilities

• Lead Teacher delivers instruction and manages the classroom to maximize student engagement and outcomes.
• Collaborate with Emerald Academy team to ensure students achieve at high levels.
• Use current student data to drive instruction, planning and decision-making.
• Communicate with families via calls, conferences, and home visits when appropriate.
• Develop processes that encourage student self-assessment and progress.
• Utilize technology to maintain student data and enhance learning.
