Job summary

Emerald Academy in Knoxville is seeking an Upper Grades Content Teacher to join a values-aligned leadership team and help grow scholars into college-ready leaders. You will deliver instruction in an assigned content area, use data to drive planning, and collaborate with families and staff to support student achievement.

This role starts in 2026-2027 with a starting salary of $50,000 and a commitment to a student-centered learning culture.

Qualifications

• Must hold a Tennessee Teacher License and any needed endorsements.
• Must have an active TDOE Teaching License or completed the TDOE Application process for license transfer.

Responsibilities

• Design rigorous lessons with a focus on mastery.
• Create a classroom climate of high expectations.
• Communicate with families via calls, conferences, and visits.
• Use student data to drive instruction and planning.
• Collaborate with Emerald Academy team to support students.
