Job summary

Alba Public School in Michigan is seeking a passionate Elementary Teacher to join our Upper Elementary team as a full-time member. The teacher will foster a nurturing classroom, implement standards-based instruction, and engage diverse learners to support student growth and a love of learning.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education and a valid Michigan teaching certificate with endorsement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education or related field.
• Valid Michigan teaching certification with endorsement in the grade level.
• Strong understanding of child development and effective teaching strategies.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in planning and assessing educational activities.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver engaging, developmentally appropriate lesson plans aligned to standards.
• Create assessments and monitor student performance using tests, quizzes, projects, and presentations.
• Collaborate with colleagues to align curricula and participate in professional development.
• Participate in school activities, meetings, and events to support the school mission.
• Maintain a safe and positive classroom environment for all students.
• Maintain effective communication with students, parents, and school staff.
