Job summary

Highline Academy is seeking an Multilingual Education (MLE) Teacher for Upper Elementary at the Northeast Campus. Reporting to the Campus Principal, you will join a team dedicated to diverse learners, inclusive excellence, and a student-first, growth-mindset culture.

MLE teachers plan collaboratively, use data for decision-making, and maintain strong relationships with families, attending weekly team meetings and ensuring alignment with district requirements.

Qualifications

• Teaching credential appropriate to the assignment.
• Experience in teaching for the given grade level would be ideal.
• Demonstrated commitment to Highline mission.
• No Child Left Behind specifications for hiring.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• MLE teachers collaborate with grade-level peers to provide rigorous, supportive curriculum.
• Use data to monitor student learning and inform lesson planning.
• Meet weekly with team to co-plan lessons and units; support other staff as needed.
• Enter attendance and grades in school system; coordinate with district via MLE Director.
