Job summary

Match Education is seeking an Upper Elementary Math Teacher (Long‑Term Substitute) in Boston for the 2026–2027 school year. The role supports a diverse student body across 24 students per class, with work hours 7:00 am–2:45 pm and Wednesdays until 4:30 pm for PD.

Compensation ranges from $61,812 to $98,899 with strong health insurance coverage and loan repayment assistance up to $150/month. Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor’s degree, two years of full‑time teaching experience, and MA teacher

Qualifications

• have a Bachelor’s degree
• have at least two years of full‑time experience as a classroom or special education teacher, preferably in an urban education setting
• meet teacher certification requirements set by the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education, or can meet the certification requirements within a year of date of hire
• believe that all students can and will succeed
• desire to continually improve their practice as a teacher by taking and implementing feedback
• have a proven record of student growth and achievement

Responsibilities

• Teach upper elementary Math lessons
• Uphold high academic and behavioral expectations for students, and provide lots of support for getting students there
• Participate actively in Match’s coaching and professional development programming
• Assist with school programming as needed during non‑instructional time
• Serve as a positive and collaborative member of the Match Charter Public School community

Education
