Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (any subject)
• Subject matter expertise demonstrated by results or a content-specific degree
• Within the first year you must complete CDE READ Act training or CDE CLD -45 contact hours
• Pass a background check and demonstrate eligibility to work in the United States (E‑Verify)
• Preferred certifications

Responsibilities

• Inspire a love of learning and differentiate lessons to meet scholars’ needs
• Create a safe, inclusive environment where all students can thrive
• Build strong foundational love of learning and joy in education
• Partner with families to support students’ education
• Collaborate with grade-level teams, special educators, interventionists, and specialists
• Be a scholar of the Common Core Standards and apply them to instruction
• Teach data-informed lessons to monitor mastery and adjust instruction
• Champion science-based reading instruction using research-based methods
