A DAY IN THE LIFE
- Plan and deliver targeted English language arts and social studies instruction to two classes of six to eight students in 4th and/or 5th grade with learning differences
- Communicate with colleagues and parents to provide an exceptional experience for all families
- Engage in the continuous pursuit of lifelong personal and professional development and reflection
- Observe, analyze, and pivot based on the needs of kids
- Record, synthesize, and report progress in both formal and informal ways
- Provide support to kids in the form of social coaching
- Have fun teaching and learning - must love kids
Other Important Information
- Experience teaching in a relevant classroom setting required
- Bachelor's Degree required

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or higher required, with teacher certification preferred
- Three to five years of relative classroom experience required
- Comfort in teaching a range of grade levels and content areas
- Experience working with diverse learners
- Knowledge of learning differences and the ability to differentiate instruction in the classroom based on those needs
- Strong ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in written form
- Analytical approach to curriculum, instructional methods, and students
- Flexibility as it relates to classroom management, pacing of curriculum, and student expectations
- Compassion for students, parents, and colleagues
