Placements24 is seeking a Rural Community Outreach Coordinator for Upington, Northern Cape. The role focuses on building connections with isolated communities, assessing needs, and facilitating access to healthcare, education, and social welfare programs.

You will plan and deliver outreach initiatives, collect data, report on outcomes, and liaise with service providers and community leaders. A qualification in community development, social work, or public administration plus 3+ years in rural

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field such as Community Development, Social Work or Public Administration.
• Minimum of 3 years' experience in community outreach, rural development or social work.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and facilitation skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement outreach strategies to engage rural communities around Upington.
• Conduct needs assessments to identify gaps in service provision.
• Facilitate access to healthcare, education, agricultural support, and social welfare programs.
• Build and maintain relationships with community leaders, organisations and residents.
• Plan and coordinate community events, workshops and information sessions.
• Liaise between communities and service providers with clear referrals.
• Collect data on engagement and outcomes for reporting.
