Job summary

Gasser Chair Company in Youngstown, OH is seeking a detail-oriented Upholstery Associate to support the production of premium seating products. You will apply fabric, vinyl, and foam to chair frames, using hand and pneumatic tools, under supervision of the Upholstery Supervisor.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, basic manufacturing exposure, and a careful, quality-minded approach. The role offers hands-on training in stitching, trimming, and assembly within a fast-paced factory

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous manufacturing experience preferred.
• Prior upholstery experience is a plus.
• Comfortable using hand tools such as staple guns, scissors, and mallets.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Responsibilities

• Upholstery Assembly: Apply fabric, vinyl, and other upholstery materials to chair frames using hand and pneumatic tools.
• Fit and Finish: Align, stretch, and secure materials to ensure a clean, tight finish that meets customer specifications and quality standards.
• Inspection: Examine frames and materials for defects prior to and during upholstery; identify and address issues as needed.
• Advanced Upholstery Tasks: Perform specialized work such as top stitching, double needle applications, and try-ons.
• Process Adherence: Follow established work instructions and production processes to maintain consistency and quality.
• Production Efficiency: Complete daily tasks in alignment with production schedules and efficiency targets.
