Job summary

Lippert Components, Inc. is hiring for a full-time upholstery role in Pennsylvania. You will measure, fit, staple, glue, repair and bind materials to manufacture furniture, and uphold quality standards. Work with fabrics and upholstery methods using hand and power tools, sewing, and knowledge of patterns.

The role emphasizes reading work orders, designing patterns, and discussing fabrics with customers while meeting production goals and deadlines.

Qualifications

• Manufacturing experience required or preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Ability to read work orders and follow specifications.

Responsibilities

• Attach bindings, fasteners, grommets, buttons, buckles, trim, and accessories to covers or frames.
• Build furniture with stuffing and padding to form smooth surfaces.
• Design upholstery cover patterns and cutting plans from sketches or blueprints.
• Discuss fabrics, colors, and styles with customers and provide cost estimates.
• Read cutting lines on material following patterns and templates.
• Operate sewing machines or hand-sew upholstery to join sections.
