Gulfstream Aerospace Savannah is seeking an Upholstery Tech III to design, fabricate, and install upholstery and trim items for aircraft interiors. You will work independently, assist the Shop Lead, and mentor junior technicians, ensuring quality, safety, and on-time completion.
Responsibilities include fabricating seat covers and panels, interpreting drawings, sewing with commercial machines, and using Corridor for parts demand and sign-off. Aerospace experience is preferred.
Employee must possess a strong mechanical background. Position will require assembly/disassemly of seats and seat components.
High School Diploma or GED required. 3 years experience using commercial sewing machines, sergers and/or various hand tools used in the upholstery and carpet trades. experience in aerospace preferred. Position Purpose:Work independently to design, fabricate, and install upholstery and trim items in aircraft interiors. Assist Shop Lead by overseeing projects and providing guidance and direction to co-workers. Mentor and train other Upholstery Technicians.
