Gulfstream Aerospace in Savannah seeks an Upholstery Tech I to fabricate and install aircraft interior upholstery under design and engineering specifications. The role requires reading blueprints, using hand tools and sewing machines, and working with sergers on various panels and carpets.
Entry level position with attention to detail; computer literacy and ability to lift up to 40 pounds; shift is First. Travel up to 25% may be required.
Qualified candidate will be well versed with various hand tools, and possess strong attention to detail. Experience with computers/blue prints a plus.
High School Diploma or GED required. Entry level position. Experience using commercial sewing machines, sergers and/or various hand tools used in upholstery and carpet trades is preferred.
Under moderate supervision fabricate and install upholstery, cover panels, and make simple patterns for aircraft interiors using design/engineering drawings and aircraft specifications.
