Responsibilities

• Obtain pre-assembled frames and attach fabric, fiber and other components using upholstery techniques.
• Upholster components to frames following SOPs with staple gun, scissors, and hammer.
• Meet productivity target of 6–8 pieces per hour, with a goal of 8 per hour.

The operator will upholster fabric, fiber, and all necessary components to upholster furniture per the specifications and Standard Operating Procedures for use on the upholstery lines, at a pace sufficient to achieve stated productivity requirements.

The Upholsterer (Weekend) position is located in Booneville, MS.

• Will obtain pre-assembled frames and attach fabric, fiber, and any other specified component parts by using upholstery techniques to perform the assigned position on the upholstery line.
• Will upholster all necessary component parts to assembled frames assuring they are correct per the quality standards of Sutter Street Manufacturing using a staple gun, scissors, and a hammer (other tools may be needed) per Sutter Street’s upholstery Standard Operating Procedures.
• Will upholster pieces of furniture that meets the expected quality requirements of Sutter Street Manufacturing at a sufficient pace to meet or exceed the stated productivity requirements of a minimum of 6 pieces per hour with a goal of 8 pieces per hour.

• Ability to interpret simple instructions commonly placed in a production manual and the ability to perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment to assure delivery requirements.
• Must have good communication skills both oral and written as well as the ability to read, write, and understand English.
• Demonstrate the ability to keep accurate records and follow documented procedures and standards.
• Excellent time-management skills including ability to work independently with little supervision.
• Must be able to meet the minimum stated job qualifications.

• Ability to speak English and understand Spanish.
