The Upholsterer at Zohorecruit in Dallas, TX, secures fabric and leather to wood frames using hand tools and pneumatic staplers in a climate-controlled environment. This role requires standing for long periods and flexibility for overtime based on production demands.

You will match materials to frames, upholster components, and follow traveler specifications for medallions, welting, brass tacks, springs, and webbing. Attention to seam alignment and final quality checks is essential.

Qualifications

• Identify appropriate nuts, bolts, and screws by style.
• Welting experience on front posts.
• Capable of assembling frames and installing mechanisms.
• Able to detect sewing defects and material flaws during upholstery.
• Physical strength to handle and stretch heavy materials for extended periods.
• Strong attention to detail, particularly in seam alignment and final qualitychecks.

Responsibilities

SUMMARY:

The Upholsterer is responsible for securing fabric and leather to wood framesusing hand tools and pneumatic staplers in a climate‑controlled environment.This position involves continuous standing and requires flexibility forovertime based on production demands.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Secure fabric and leather to frames using staple guns, air rackets, anddrills.
• Match materials with corresponding frames and upholster all frame components.
• Follow product specifications on traveler documents, including medallions,leg colors, welting, brass tacks, springs, webbing, and additional orderdetails.
• Correct crooked seams and smooth out staple bumps.
• Visually inspect completed work to ensure quality standards are met.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the Supervisor or Lead.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

• Proficient with air tools, including:
