Job summary

Conde Group is seeking an RF Technician to join a growing team. This field-based role will support public sector and utility customers throughout Florida, including Jacksonville, with a focus on land mobile radio systems.

The position is Contract to Hire, Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm, with pay from $25 to $35 per hour. A High School Diploma and hands-on radio experience are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Hands-on experience with two-way radios (mobile & handheld).
• Maintenance, troubleshooting, diagnostics, and repair skills at component level.
• Strong RF theory knowledge and familiarity with VHF/UHF/700–800 MHz bands.
• Experience with test equipment (service monitors, spectrum analyzers, signal generators, wattmeters).
• Ability to read schematics and manuals.

Conde Group is seeking an RF Technician to join a growing and dynamic team! This role will support the public sector and utility customers throughout the Florida Panhandle. This is a field-based position requiring a self-motivated professional who can work independently while delivering exceptional service to government agencies, municipalities, and utility organizations.

Job Description:

1. Maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and support land mobile radio systems, including mobile and portable communications equipment.

Position Requirements:

1. High School Diploma
2. Hands‑on experience with two‑way radios (mobile & handheld)
3. Skilled in maintenance, troubleshooting, diagnostics, and repair (component/module level)
4. Strong understanding of RF theory, analog/digital systems, and VHF/UHF/700–800 MHz bands
5. Proficient with test equipment (service monitors, spectrum analyzers, signal generators, wattmeters)
6. Ability to read schematics, technical manuals, and diagrams

Preferred Experience:

1. Experience with Motorola radios (APX, XPR/MOTOTRBO, legacy XTS/CDM/HT series) OR L3Harris
2. Familiar with CPS, Radio Management (RM), and tuner software
3. Knowledge of P25, DMR (MOTOTRBO), and trunked systems (SmartNet/SmartZone)
4. Experience with firmware updates, codeplug management, OTAP/OTAR, and encryption (AES/DES)
5. Exposure to Motorola infrastructure (repeaters, base stations, MCC dispatch)

Additional Skills:

1. RF systems: repeaters, duplexers, antennas, feedlines, grounding
2. Basic IP networking (TCP/IP, VLANs, QoS)
3. Knowledge of FCC regulations and LMR environments
4. Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills
5. And most importantly- utmost professional demeanor and client presentation
