Job summary

Staffing Solutions of Hawaii seeks a Network Administrator in Kihei, HI to join a growing team. The role focuses on configuring and maintaining Cisco routers/switches/firewalls, securing DoD networks, and managing VPNs and encryption devices.

On-site work is required with a Monday–Friday schedule. The candidate will support NIPRNet/SIPRNet/JWICS environments, handle vulnerability management, crypto rekeys, and maintain monitoring tools like SolarWinds and Splunk.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or 7+ years of relevant network engineering experience.
• CCNA certification required; CCNP certification preferred.
• Advanced DoD 8140 IAM certifications may substitute for degree.
• Current DoD IA workforce certification per DoDM 8140.03 required.

Responsibilities

• Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Cisco routers, switches, firewalls, and encryption devices (Taclane KG-175D/F/G).
• Support secure network environments across NIPRNet, SIPRNet, and JWICS LAN/MAN/WAN infrastructures.
• Administer and maintain network management and monitoring tools (SolarWinds, Splunk, Puppet, Cisco ISE, Cisco Prime, TACACS, GEM X).
• Manage and support VoIP/VoSIP systems (CUCM and media gateway routers).
• Perform vulnerability management per DISA STIGs, IAVAs, TCNOs, and TCTOs.
• Execute cryptographic rekeys for SIPRNet/JWICS operations.
• Support Windows 11, Windows Server 2008/2022, and RHEL environments.
• Maintain and monitor UPS systems for critical infrastructure.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, diagrams, and compliance records.
• Collaborate with network admins, cybersecurity, and government stakeholders to ensure readiness and security.
• Respond to incidents, troubleshoot outages, and resolve within SLAs.

11. Respond to incidents, troubleshoot outages, and provide timely resolution within established service-level agreements (SLAs).

Position Requirements:

1. Bachelor's degree and at least 5 years of network engineering or network administration experience; OR High school diploma/GED and at least 7 years of relevant network engineering experience.
2. Advanced DoD 8140 certifications (IAM Level I, II, or III) may substitute for degree requirements.
3. Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certification required.
4. Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) certification preferred.
5. Current DoD-approved Information Assurance (IA) workforce certification in accordance with DoDM 8140.03 required.
