Job summary

Everforth Apex Systems is seeking a Network Administrator to support a critical Navy program at NIWC Pacific in Honolulu, Hawaii. The role provides Tier II network administration for CENTRIXS environments and DoD security compliance to ensure mission readiness.

Responsibilities include configuring Cisco routers, switches, ASA firewalls, performing IOS upgrades, vulnerability remediation, and ensuring system availability. Active Secret clearance is required for this contract-to-perm position.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of network administration experience.
• Experience with Cisco routing, switching, and firewall environments.
• Experience troubleshooting enterprise network connectivity issues.
• Familiarity with DoD cybersecurity requirements and information assurance practices.

We are seeking a Network Administrator to support a critical Navy program at NIWC Pacific. This position will provide Tier II network administration and operational support for CENTRIXS environments supporting national defense missions.

Employment Type: Contract to Perm

Salary Range: $100,000 - $110,000 conversion / $48 - $52 on contract

Key Responsibilities

• Administer and maintain CENTRIXS network infrastructure across multiple locations.
• Provide Tier II troubleshooting and resolution for network connectivity issues.
• Configure, monitor, and maintain Cisco routers, switches, and ASA firewalls.
• Perform Cisco IOS upgrades and system maintenance activities.
• Troubleshoot and support TACLANE encrypted network connections.
• Diagnose and resolve virtual networking and VDI-related connectivity issues.
• Conduct vulnerability scanning and remediation activities.
• Apply DISA STIGs and security hardening requirements in accordance with DoD policies.
• Support network outages, incident response, and restoration efforts.
• Maintain system documentation, network diagrams, and operational procedures.
• Collaborate with engineering, cybersecurity, and operations teams to ensure system availability and compliance.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of network administration experience.
• Experience supporting Cisco routing, switching, and firewall environments.
• Experience troubleshooting enterprise network connectivity issues.
• Familiarity with DoD cybersecurity requirements and information assurance practices.

Security Clearance

• Active Secret Clearance required.

• CompTIA Security+ CE
• GIAC Security Essentials Certification (GSEC)
• Security Certified Network Professional (SCNP)
• Systems Security Certified Practitioner (SSCP)
• Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting CENTRIXS, SIPRNet, or other classified networks.
• TACLANE administration and troubleshooting experience.
• Knowledge of DISA STIG implementation and vulnerability management.
• Experience supporting Navy or other DoD environments.
• Familiarity with VMware Horizon or other VDI technologies.
• ITIL Foundation Certification or knowledge of ITIL processes.
