Job summary

Darigold in Boise is seeking a UP Milk Cooler Operator to join a self-activating team on the production line. You will operate Two Lane Modern Filler and monitor speeds, ensure correct codes and labels, and document production data.

The role requires physical stamina, the ability to lift up to 55 lbs, stand for long periods, follow GMPs and safety rules, and collaborate with maintenance and supervision to keep quality high.

Qualifications

• Food background preferred, specifically dairy.
• Experience in a variety of manufacturing areas, within consumer products preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate Two Lane Modern Filler and related production tasks.
• Maintain posted machine speeds for size and efficiency.
• Hit targets and deliver increased output figures.
• Check product codes and labels for accuracy.
• Document all production data clearly and accurately.
• Notify supervision/maintenance of mechanical issues.
• Monitor product quality and keep within specifications.
• Minimize losses of packaging materials used in this function.
• Inspect equipment before/during production and report deficiencies.
• Complete QA checks and documentation accurately.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Handle sanitation chemicals as required.
• Communicate professionally within the Culture department.
• Complete PMs and other environmental tasks as assigned.
• Follow GMP procedures and safety/quality practices.
• Assist coworkers operating other culture machines as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned by leads/supervisors/managers.

Job description

Darigold is seeking to fill a UP Milk Cooler Operator position at our Boise facility. UP Milk Cooler Production workers must be motivated and desire to be members of a self-activating team that works safely and drives quality on the production line. The ideal candidates for this role excel in a fast paced, rigorous environment and thrive in a team-based work setting.

What You Will Do

• Operates Two Lane Modern Filler and jobs associated with production. (Y tank CIPs, Setup)
• Ensure the machine runs at posted speeds for size and efficiency at all times
• Ability to hit targets, delivering increased output figures
• Check product to insure correct code date and label identification
• Documents all production data clearly and accurately
• Keep supervision and maintenance informed of any mechanical issues.
• Monitor and ensure product quality, and maintain the product in specifications
• Responsible for maintaining and assisting in minimizing losses of packaging materials and other materials used in this job function.
• Inspect the equipment prior to setting up for production, during production, during CIP and report possible mechanical deficiencies.
• Must be able to complete all QA checks and documentation accurately.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Ability to work with required sanitation chemicals
• Ability to utilize professional methods of communication within the Culture department to create a positive environment
• Completes PMs and other environmental tasks as assigned
• Follows all procedures in the cleanup process including GMP’s
• Follow and comply with Safety and quality assurance practices
• Supports coworkers running other culture machines as needed.
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by leads/supervisors/managers
