Rec Sports provides programs and services to the university community, aiming to create a positive environment for recreation and fitness activities that enhance quality of life and community engagement. We employ approximately 250 students annually through various programs including intramural sports, informal recreation, group exercise, sport clubs, fitness, faculty/staff fitness, special events, outdoor pursuits, and aquatics. Personal Trainers at UNT Rec Sports are responsible for fitness testing, designing and implementing exercise programs, instructing clients, and tracking progress. Trainers are hired based on their expertise in fitness and are expected to maintain professional conduct in all interactions.
