Job summary

SkyBridge Tactical, LLC, based in Tampa, FL, seeks a Software Engineer to design, develop, test, and sustain software for unmanned-system platforms. Responsibilities include flight-control software, sensor fusion, and ground-control interfaces, using C/C++ and Python.

You will collaborate with engineers and Government stakeholders in an agile environment, supporting DoD and related missions. On-site work at Dam Neck Annex, VA Beach, with contacts for security-clearance related duties.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.
• 3+ years hands-on software development, integration, testing, or mission-support experience.
• Active Secret clearance with TS/SCI eligibility.
• Experience with unmanned-system software, embedded systems, and flight-control software is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain software for mobile, fixed, embedded, and unmanned-system applications.
• Develop software supporting flight control, command and control, ISR, and mission-system integration.
• Integrate data from sensors (GPS, LiDAR, cameras) and implement sensor-fusion techniques.
• Develop autonomous-navigation capabilities, waypoint navigation, geofencing, and obstacle avoidance.
• Implement communications using MAVLink and ensure reliable ground-system interfaces.
• Collaborate in an agile environment with technicians, engineers, and government stakeholders.
