Job summary

Saint Michael's Medical Center in Newark, NJ, is seeking an ED Tech for the Emergency Room to join our award-winning team. This role supports patient care under the supervision of an RN or Charge Nurse, helps maintain a safe environment, and contributes to efficient workflow in a busy ED.

We welcome applicants with a high school diploma, CNA certification preferred, BLS within 30 days, and a minimum six months of acute care experience. Full-time, day shifts, comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Current Certified Nursing Assistant certificate upon hire, preferred.
• Current BLS (AHA) within 30 days of hire and maintain current. Possess knowledge of Medical terminology.
• Minimum six months previous experience in an acute care hospital or physician’s office preferred.
• Current Behavioral Violence Prevention (BVP) certificate within 6 months of hire and maintain current.

The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
