MSOE Downtown Milwaukee is hiring a University Services Officer for 2nd shift to protect the campus, residence halls, and shuttle operations. You will deliver customer service with a focus on safety and detail, helping keep students, staff, and faculty secure in a hands-on public safety environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Must possess a valid driver's license and be eligible to drive under MSOE policy.
• Public Safety experience helpful but not required.

Responsibilities

• Monitor the entrance/lobby of the residence halls.
• Check identification of anyone entering the residence halls.
• Check in and out guests of MSOE students.
• Answer the telephone in the Public Safety Office.
• Transport members of the MSOE community to locations within campus shuttle boundaries.
• Assist Patrol Officers with building/room access requests and jump start requests.
• Check in and out keys to campus departments and approved drivers.
• Monitor the department's video surveillance system.
• Compose reports on violations in residence halls.

The essential function of this role is to provide safety and security for the MSOE campus, including the residence halls and through our student shuttle service. As a University Services Officer, you'll play a key role in ensuring the MSOE campus remains a safe and secure environment for students, staff, and faculty. Schedule

• 2nd shift - 4pm to Midnight Sunday through Thursday
• Off days Fridays and Saturdays
• Ability to work overtime and holidays as assigned
• Training schedule may vary slightly

Summary of Duties

• Monitor the entrance/lobby of the residence halls

Other Duties and Responsibilities

• Patrol campus buildings
• Assist the Public Safety Director with updating the Public Safety Department Standard Operating Procedures
• Dispatch the MSOE Campus Shuttle
• Assist with Evacuation Drills

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Must possess a valid driver's license, be able to drive, and be eligible to drive vehicles per MSOE driving policy
• Previous Public Safety experience helpful but not required.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

• While performing the duties of this job the employee is largely sedentary, the ability to move is required. The employee is occasionally required to traverse within their work area as well as other areas on campus.
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be required to operate a motor vehicle. Must be willing to drive in all types of weather conditions
• The employee must also have the ability to handle several tasks simultaneously.
