Job summary

MSOE is seeking a full-time Patrol Officer for the 3rd shift (12am–8am), based in Downtown Milwaukee, WI. You will respond to emergency and non-emergency calls, enforce university rules, and support a safe campus environment.

The role requires prior Public Safety or security experience, valid driver's license, and ability to obtain Wisconsin firearm permits. Training and uniforms are provided, with comprehensive benefits and a stable schedule.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous Public Safety / Patrol Officer / Security experience required.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain Wisconsin firearms permit.
• Must be at least 21 years of age at hire.
• Must be able to drive and have valid driver's license.
• Background and driving checks and a psychological evaluation completed.
• Must wear department-issued equipment and gear on duty.

Responsibilities

• Respond to emergency and non-emergency calls from the MSOE community and the public requesting assistance.
• Enforce University rules and regulations.
• Patrol campus on foot, bicycle, or in a Public Safety vehicle.
• Coordinate with Public Safety personnel as needed and follow established procedures.
• Maintain all required licenses and permits.
